CTC Connect™ Wireless Gateways Now Support Modbus TCP/IP

CTC’s ConnectBridge™ Wireless Gateway now supports Modbus TCP/IP, enabling seamless integration of all three CTC Connect wireless sensors - WS100, WS200, and WS300 - into your existing industrial systems. This powerful combination allows users to integrate vibration and temperature data directly into SCADA, PLCs, and CMMS platforms, all without recurring fees. 

Modbus TCP/IP: Trending Made Simple 

Modbus TCP/IP is ideal for transmitting overall vibration data such as: 

• RMS Velocity overall readings

• RMS Acceleration overall readings

• Peak-to-Peak Acceleration overall readings

• Temperature value

• Battery status

• Sensor connection status

These metrics are perfect for long-term trending, threshold-based alerts, and basic condition monitoring. The gateway acts as a Modbus server device, allowing SCADA systems, PLCs, or other Modbus clients to: 

• Trigger new readings

• Check battery levels

• Monitor temperature

• Disconnect sensors

While Modbus handles overall metrics directly into your industrial automation system, CTC’s WS200 and WS300 sensors continue to deliver high resolution dynamic vibration data for advanced data visualization. Through the ConnectView™ Web App, which comes preloaded on the ConnectBridge™ gateway free of charge, users can access time waveforms and FFT plots. 

The addition of Modbus TCP/IP protocol rounds out a suite of data transfer options that come preloaded and free of charge on all ConnectBridge™ gateways. Gateways now feature the options to transfer data via  MQTT IoT Protocol, a WebSocket Connection, or Modbus TCP/IP. Regardless of the data transfer method chosen, all gateways continue to feature our easy-to-use ConnectView Web App for device management and basic vibration data visualization.
