Help Me Choose the Full Scale Range

Full Scale Range, or Dynamic Range, is defined as the maximum and minimum amplitude a sensor can measure accurately.

Understanding and selecting an appropriate dynamic range is crucial for condition monitoring of machinery. The configured Full Scale Range of the signal conditioner will determine the overall amplitude scaling of the selected output process signal format. The low end of the Full Scale Range will be represented by the “no load” of the process signal, while the high end of the Full Scale Range will be represented by the “full load” of the process signal.

End users should make sure that the vibration amplitudes they are interested in monitoring fall within the specified Dynamic Range of the sensor when planning out their vibration monitoring applications.
