Temperature Sensors
CTC offers a wide variety of temperature sensors to cover many different needs and configurations. Our most common, standard range temperature sensors with vibration included are our RTD and TA series sensors. Our RTD Sensors (TR series) is the optimal choice when the most accurate temperature measurement is necessary, as it has a very tight tolerance across the whole measurement range.

In addition, the temperature sensing element is routed to the base of the sensor. This ensures a rapid response time to a temperature change and a closer temperature match to the mounting surface. One thing to keep in mind regarding the RTD Sensors is that they require complex wiring schemes and have stringent (but very low) power requirements. This often makes a separate setup or dedicated RTD DAQ a necessity, and our sensors are ready to be used in any such configurations.
If tolerance requirements are not as strict, or a simpler setup is desired, our standard TA series sensors make a great choice.

In our Centigrade TA sensors, IEPE power is shared between the vibration and temperature circuits, making it very easy to implement. This setup is especially beneficial if there is a limit to the number of power supplies available, and temperature is easily measured as a voltage on a third pin.
A very similar configuration is also available on our standard LP262 and LP362 sensors, in which the Celsius scaled temperature circuit taps the 4-20mA loop for power and outputs its voltage to a third pin.

If power is of particular concern, our ultra-low-power TA400 series is available. This sensor combines vibration and temperature like the rest, but runs off of a shared 3-5V supply and sinks less than 100µA. This sensor is perfect for battery-powered systems, usually employed by wireless setups.

If vibration monitoring is not needed we also offer standard, temperature-only sensors (TC Series sensors).

If a constant current supply is not available, our TC sensor can easily be powered off of any standard DC power supply ranging from 3-30V. The voltage output is then available in a third pin.
