CTC’s MH117 Series kits include a combined four-fluted spot face and drill bit, enabling you to drill and spot face the mounting surface in one step. For sensors that use stud mounting, just adjust the drill depth based on the number of threads you plan to tap. With a 500 RPM right-angle drill, carefully drill and spot face the area, then proceed to tap the threads.
When preparing a machine surface for adhesive mounting pads, simply reduce the drill depth to its lowest setting and use the tool to create a smooth, flat surface ideal for bonding.
