CTC's MH117 Series tool kits come with a combination four-fluted spot face and drill bit assembly that allows you to drill and spot face your mounting location at the same time. For stud mounted sensors, simply set the drill depth according to the number of threads you wish to tap. Utilizing a 500 RPM Right Angle Drill, carefully drill and spot face the location, then tap threads.
To prepare the surface of a machine for adhesive mounting pads, simply back the drill depth off to a minimum and use the tool to prepare a clean, flat surface to adhere to.
