CTC’s MH117 Series tool kits include a combined four-fluted spot face and drill bit, allowing you to drill and spot face your mounting location in one step. For stud-mounted sensors, simply adjust the drill depth based on how many threads you plan to tap. Using a 500 RPM right-angle drill, carefully drill and spot face the area, then proceed to tap the threads.
When prepping a machine surface for adhesive-mounted pads, reduce the drill depth to its minimum setting and use the tool to create a smooth, flat surface ideal for bonding.
