The MMX2000 stainless steel modular enclosed BNC connection box is used to convert the two-conductor input wiring of up to 12 single axis accelerometers or piezo velocity sensors to a portable data collection unit. The enclosure features a din rail, which can accept up to four MMX-MOD3 modules. Each module has three BNC outputs. Input wiring from each sensor is connected to the outputs via spring cage terminal blocks on the bottom of the module. Each terminal block includes inputs for signal/power, common and shield. The shield drain wire is earth grounded via the stainless steel enclosure. While the channel count of standard MX enclosed BNC connection boxes can not be modified after purchase, MMX2000 boxes offer the flexibility to add channels at a later date (if less than 12 channels of measurement is required for initial install). Simply purchase additional MMX-MOD3 modules, which can be easily clipped into the existing DIN rail.
Rated for NEMA 4X (IP66), the MMX2000 Series can withstand harsh environments including temperatures ranging from -58 to 180 °F (-50 to 82 °C). The box is also resistant to hose directed fluid and corrosion. A twist lock is installed on the door allowing the box to be sealed from the elements when not in use.
