The MX702 polycarbonate, miniature enclosed BNC connection box is used to convert the two-conductor input wiring of up to four single-axis accelerometers or piezo velocity sensors to a portable data collection unit. Each sensor is wired to BNC connectors via an internal terminal strip that is located on the reverse side of the BNC panel. Three connections per channel are clearly labeled along the terminal strip – positive, negative and ground. The shield drain wire is earth grounded via the aluminum enclosure.
Rated for NEMA 4X (IP66), the MX702 Series can withstand harsh environments including temperatures ranging from -58 to 180 °F (-50 to 82 °C). The box is also resistant to hose-directed fluid and corrosion. A snap latch is installed on the door allowing the box to be sealed from the elements when not in use. This box is ideal for low-cost applications, and/or applications with space constraints that require a small form factor.
