The MX705 polycarbonate, miniature enclosed BNC connection box is used to convert the four-conductor input wiring of up to two triaxial accelerometers or piezo velocity sensors to a portable data collection unit. Each sensor is wired to a four-pin M12 connector on the front of the panel via an internal terminal strip that is located on the reverse side of the panel. Connections on the terminal strip are clearly labeled for an X, Y, and Z input as well as common and the shield drain wire. The shield drain wire is earth grounded via the aluminum enclosure. The four-pin connectors on the MX705 enclosure are compatible with CTC’s M4C connector. Data collector cables for interface with this enclosure can be built using CTC's Cable Wizard.
Rated for NEMA 4X (IP66), the MX705 Series can withstand harsh environments including temperatures ranging from -58 to 180 °F (-50 to 82 °C). The box is also resistant to hose-directed fluid and corrosion. A snap latch is installed on the door allowing the box to be sealed from the elements when not in use. This box is ideal for low-cost applications in harsh environments, and/or applications with space constraints that require a small form factor.
