MX542

DUAL INPUT & OUTPUT MINI-MAXX BOX, ALUMINUM ENCLOSURE, NEMA 4X (IP66) RATED, SENSOR INPUT OPTIONS: 1 OR 2 DUAL OUTPUT SENSORS
  • Provides a low cost solution that is ideal for harsh environments, including cooling towers and other wet or dusty environments
  • Internally earth grounded for noise reduction
  • -58 to 180 °F (-50 to 82 °C) Temperature Range

MX542: Aluminum Mini-MAXX Box

The MX542 powder-coated aluminum, miniature enclosed BNC connection box is used to convert the three-conductor input wiring of up to two dual-output vibration and temperature accelerometers or piezo velocity sensors to a portable data collection unit. Each sensor is wired to BNC connectors via an internal terminal strip that is located on the reverse side of the BNC panel. Four connections per channel are clearly labeled along the terminal strip – signal/power, temperature, common, and ground. The shield drain wire is earth grounded via the aluminum enclosure.

MX542 diagram

Rated for NEMA 4X (IP66), the MX542 Series can withstand harsh environments including temperatures ranging from -58 to 180 °F (-50 to 82 °C). The box is also resistant to hose directed fluid and corrosion. A snap latch is installed on the door allowing the box to be sealed from the elements when not in use. This box is ideal for low cost applications in harsh environments, and/or applications with space constraints which require a small form factor.
